Here you can find our visitor information and see what we have to offer at ARK Wildlife Park.
Take a walk on the wild side as you visit our fascinating animals, from the exotic to some familiar faces, the cute and the deadly, we have a diverse selection to delight animal lovers of all ages.

Daily reptile encounter presentations, 11.30 am & 2.30 pm

Carnivore talk, 3.00 pm over summer and peak times

Large outdoor play area with trim trail, as well as an indoor play area and giant sandpit located in the activity barn.

African themed cafe, the Kalahari cafe, offering delicious local produce.

Lemur lake, walk around our picturesque pond and lemur monkey habitat.

A range of behind the scenes animal encounters, for a unique one on one experience.

Disabled access and toilet facilities.

– Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission Prices:

3 years and under: Free
Adult: £9.00
Child (under 16): £6.50
Family (2 adults + 2 children): £30
Extra children: £5 each
OAP/Disabled/Military: £8.00

Winter Season (Nov-Jan), Adults and Children just £5 each (3 years and under Free)

Other offers and discounts cannot be used in conjunction with Winter season admission prices.

Annual Passes:

Adult: £35
Child: £25
Family (2+2): £110

Concession: £30

Off peak (1 Adult & 1 Child): £40, off peak passes are valid during weekdays in term time only.

Discounts are available for pre-booked (10+ people) school groups, Scouts, Guides, Brownies etc and care homes.

Opening Times

The Wildlife park is open throughout the year.

Summer: 10 am – 5pm (7 days/week)

Winter: 10 am 4 pm (closed Mon/Thurs)

Closed:

Winter Season, closed every Monday & Thursday (except for Public holidays and pre-booked school visits)

In addition to our normal winter closed days of Mon & Thur the Ark will also be closed on February 25th,27th and 28th.

Closed Christmas & Boxing Day

Last admission 1 hour before the park closes.

No dogs allowed except assistance dogs

Kalahari Cafe

At our African themed cafe, the Kalahari cafe you can enjoy locally made cakes, sandwiches, savouries and hot meals with vegetarian and vegan options alongside a wide range of cold drinks and hot beverages, whilst the kids burn off energy around our play park, and for the really young there’s our toddler corner in the cafe.

The Kalahari cafe will be open everyday from 10.00am, outside of peak season the cafe may not be open all day.

Play areas and activity barn

As well as the diverse range of animals that call the Ark home, we have a range of activities to keep the kids happy no matter the weather, with a large well equipped play area, including trim trail, there’s plenty to do outside when the weather’s fine, but even on a rainy day the children won’t miss out with our large indoor climbing area located in the activity barn, featuring towers, bridges, swings, slides, climbing walls, fireman’s pole and giant sand pit.

And if you fancy a bite to eat in the kalahari cafe, our toddlers corner will keep young children entertained whilst you enjoy a hot drink and a bite to eat.
