Meet Our Animals
Meet our animals
Here you can find the diverse range of animals that call the ARK home, from giant reptiles to exotic mammals, beautiful predators, gentle grazers and familiar friends.
Being a rescue sanctuary for exotics, we operate differently from traditional zoos with the vast majority of our animals coming in as rescues from the exotic pet trade, either directly from their owners or through animal welfare organisations, many of our residents come to us with health conditions resulting from a poor start to life, needing ongoing specialised care and medication for the rest of their lives, a visit to the Ark supports their care and rehabilitation.
We never know who we may be called on to help in the future, as such our animal family regularly grows, so you never know who might be waiting for you at the ARK.
